Welcome to Valyou. These terms explain the agreement between you and us when you use Valyou. We've kept them short and in plain language, because honesty should be easy to read too.

You must be 18 or older

Valyou is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service. If you're not 18 yet, please come back when you are — we'll be here.

By using Valyou, you're confirming that you meet this age requirement.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens under it. Please use accurate information when you sign in, and let us know if you think someone else has gained access to your account.

You can stop using Valyou at any time. You can also delete your profile from within the app, and we'll remove your data as described in our privacy policy.

How you treat each other

Valyou is a space for tender, honest conversations between two people. We ask that you bring care and respect to it.

  • Be honest and kind in what you share.
  • Don't harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other people.
  • Don't upload content that's unlawful, hateful, or that isn't yours to share.
  • Don't try to break, scrape, overload, or misuse the service.

Your content stays yours

The values, reflections, photos, and messages you share are yours. By using Valyou, you give us permission to store and display that content as needed to run the service for you and the person you've paired with — and nothing more.

What we provide

Valyou helps you name what matters to you and reflect on it together with someone you care about. Some reflections are crafted with the help of AI. It's a tool for noticing and conversation, not professional advice — it doesn't replace counseling, therapy, legal, or medical guidance.

We offer Valyou as-is and do our best to keep it running well, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.

Ending things

You're free to leave whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, and we'll try to be fair and clear if we ever need to.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Valyou grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top and, where it matters, let you know. Continuing to use Valyou after a change means you accept the updated terms.
