Privacy policy

The short version

• We don't sell your data — not now, not ever.
• We store your data securely with Supabase, our database and storage provider.
• You must be 18 or older to use Valyou.
• You can delete your profile and data whenever you want.

What we collect

We collect only what's needed to make Valyou work for you:

• Account details, like your email and how you sign in.
• Profile information you choose to add, such as your display name and photo.
• The values, reflections, and messages you share within the app.
• Basic technical information needed to keep the service secure and running.

How we use it

We use your information to provide Valyou: to sign you in, to pair you with someone you choose, to show your shared reflections, and to keep the service safe and working. Some reflections are generated with the help of AI based on the values you and your partner share.

We don't use your private conversations to advertise to you.

Where your data lives

We use Supabase to store and manage your data. Supabase is a trusted infrastructure provider that handles our database, authentication, and file storage on our behalf. Your data is protected in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what's needed to run the service.

We don't sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We don't share it with advertisers. The only people who see what you share are you and the person you've chosen to pair with — and us, only as needed to operate and protect the service.

We may share limited data with service providers like Supabase who help us run Valyou, and only so they can do that job. We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it.

Your choices

You're in control of your data.

• You can view and update your profile any time in the app.
• You can pause your profile to step away without deleting anything.
• You can delete your profile, which removes your data from the service.
• You can ask us about the data we hold by writing to isaiahbmann@gmail.com.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information and rely on Supabase's security practices for storage. No service can promise perfect security, but we treat your data as something precious and design with care.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top and, when it's a meaningful change, do our best to let you know.
